Our Story & Mission

AKANOVIA, a brand specialized in selling home & office products, was created by Alboukadel Kassambara, PhD in Bioinformatics & Cancer Biology. 

Alboukadel has +10 years work experiences in data science for Precision Medicine,  which is medical approach for disease treatment that takes into account individual genetic background, environment, and lifestyle for each person. This strategy will allow doctors and researchers to predict the best treatment options of a given disease for each patient.

Sharing knowledge, helping each other and teaching are values to which Alboukadel  is deeply committed. He is the author of many open source tools, with +4 Million active installations, for easy data analysis and visualization.  He previously created Datanovia, containing many free tutorials and courses, to make learning data science easy for every one all around the world. 

As part of his work and missions, Alboukadel Kassambara spends 90% of his time sitting at the office and sometimes feels back pain. Alboukadel believes that a tidy work environment and a comfortable sitting position at the office are essential for daily well-being and sustainable efficiency. Accessories to make your home, office and car seats comfortable can help reduce many of the symptoms associated with back pain.

AKANOVIA was therefore recently  created. Our mission is to design and sell furnitures to make your life confortable at home and office.
